Geo 2

The Concept: A better Geo.

The Geo began a revolution in the paragliding world, led by Ozone pilots who wanted a lightweight wing with solid performance, great handling, and a fun feel in flight. With the Geo II, we have stayed the course, improving almost every aspect of the wing, especially performance.

New Features

The Geo II is an entirely new wing, with no residual design features from the original Geo except for the cloth.

A cleaner sail with 45 cells, the most cells in the lightweight 1-2 class.

New Planform and a proportional reduction of cell width to improve the airflow and significantly reduce drag across the span, especially at the tips.

Segmented diagonals, which drastically reduced line amount. 110m less total line than the original Geo. This is a massive improvement in performance with no sacrifice in safety or comfort.

Segmented Diagonals are an alternative to full panels running the length of the wing’s chord. Instead, small ‘segments’ are placed in crucial areas to support the ‘free’ rib. This makes for a 70% reduction in internal wing weight.

New profile. The new airfoil design is highly tolerant to deep brake input, making it more spin and stall resistant and easier to groundhandle. The handling is also very progressive, and precise, with exact reactions to pilot input. This profile’s pitch behaviour is also highly efficient in active air.

The cell openings have been reduced and their positioning optimised, both for performance and to delay the stall point in order to improve the characteristics at slow speed – one of the keys for a long and progressive brake range.

Sizing: with 5 sizes available, any pilot will be able to choose a wing in which they are at the optimum weight range. There is only a 1.7m2 area difference between sizes, with a MS and ML size to cover the most popular weights.

Materials: After 3 years and tens of thousands of hours of testing by pilots all over the world, the Geo II’s material has proven to be even more durable and long lasting than we had hoped. This wing is light, but built to last.

Risers: As with the original Geo, pilots can choose between standard 20mm risers for comfort, or lightweight 7mm Dyneema risers for minimum weight.
